In A District That Ranks In The Top 2% Statewide, Windemere Has Something To Add: Four Great New Schools!
Education has always been a top priority in the design and planning of Windemere. As a result, the community offers opportunities for lifelong learning.
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District has the highest ratings for API test scores for large school districts compared to all K-12 unified school districts in California, according to the State API (Academic Performance Index). Schools in the district have won the National Blue Ribbon Award or State Distinguished School designations 28 times over the past decade. This tradition of excellence serves students of Windemere at these new schools:
Hidden Hills Elementary Now Open Ranked in the top 1.4 percent in the state in the 2006 Academic Performance Index. Also offers complete on-campus before and after school programs.
Windemere Ranch Middle School Now Open Ranked in the top 1.3 percent in the state in the 2006 Academic Performance Index. The new campus includes a video production lab, language lab, computer lab and more. A joint-use park is right next door!
Live Oak Elementary School Opening August 2007 This state-of-the-art campus is located next to the 15-acre San Ramon Sports Park and Tiffany Roberts Field. Before and after school programs are also planned.
Dougherty Valley High School Opening August 2007 The first new high school in the valley in 32 years, this 54-acre campus will have great academics and comprehensive athletic facilities—an aquatic center, gym, football field, track and more.
Diablo Valley College, San Ramon Valley Campus Now Open This 65,000 square foot state-of-the-art campus will serve students of all ages and interests with classes ranging from culinary arts to computer science.
