Celebrate Independence in the Tri‑Valley!

Looking for a great way to enjoy the Fourth of July? The Tri‑Valley area (Danville, San Ramon, Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin) is cranking up the fun this year with parades, fireworks, family events, and concerts.

Danville: Kiwanis Parade & Picnic

Danville kicks things off early — the beloved Kiwanis 4th of July Parade hits Hartz Avenue, rolling from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 4th – it’s a joyous procession with floats, bands, and community spirit.

San Ramon: Concert in Central Park

Over in San Ramon, July 4th brings the Independence Day Celebration Concert at Central Park Amphitheater (12501 Alcosta Blvd). There will be patriotic prelude from the Olympia Field Band & tribute to veterans starting at 5PM.  The headliner is Billy Nation, performing a high‑energy premier Billy Joel concert experience.  Be sure to get to Central Park early, the event starts at 5 p.m. and running until about 8 p.m.

Bring a lawn chair, plan for parking (Iron Horse Middle School helps), and enjoy refreshments for sale. Note: there’s no fireworks display here.

Livermore keeps it bright and daytime with its municipal airport celebration (9 a.m.–1 p.m.). Highlights include:

  • Military aircraft and RC plane demos

  • Emergency‑vehicle displays

  • STEM activities, arts & crafts, face‑painting and more for kids

  • Plus, live music and food trucks will keep the whole crew happy.

Livermore also is hosting the Red, White & Boom fireworks show downtown starting at ~9:20 p.m.

Pleasanton & Alameda County Fair: Rides & Movie Night

Head to the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton (noon–8 p.m.) for carnival rides, horse racing, and Movie on the Lawn night

Pleasanton’s beloved Old-Fashioned Fourth of July celebration returns to the newly renovated Lions Wayside Park on July 4 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Enjoy a free concert by the Pleasanton Community Concert Band, patriotic readings, and family-friendly activities. The first 300 adults get free flags, plus $5 hot dog lunches and ice cream tokens for kids. A great way to celebrate Independence Day with the community!

Dublin: Safe & Sane Fireworks

If you want to light up the evening yourself, Dublin allows Safe & Sane Fireworks—non‑explosive, ground‑based types—in select parks like Emerald Glen and Alamo Creek, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4. You must buy them from nonprofit booths under strict rules.

Reminders

  • Weather: Expect a sunny, warm California summer day—pack sunscreen, hats, and water.

  • Parking & Logistics: San Ramon and Pleasanton recommend arriving early. Dublin fireworks must be purchased—no illicit fireworks allowed.

  • For Families: Plenty of kid‑friendly activities from STEM zones in Livermore, to rides at Pleasanton, and safe and sane fireworks in two Dublin parks.

Whether you’re into parades, concerts, fireworks, or all of the above, the Tri‑Valley provides a diverse and engaging Independence Day. Mix and match to create your perfect celebration plan.

Hope this gives you the inspo—and the schedule—to make your Fourth unforgettable! 🎇
