Matching a Charming Century Old Home to the Perfect Homeowners!

Paolo and Katie are basically my brother and sister-in-law! So when they asked me to help them buy their first home, not only was I honored but the stakes were high to perform and make sure it was the smoothest transaction possible for family.

And just my luck…it was!

Katie and Pao lived in Oakland in a smaller apartment with their books stacking pretty high. As a teacher and a lawyer, they needed a bigger place to fit their books! Having been married a couple years, buying a house together was their next important life step. Touring with them was so fun…like hanging out with friends! Pao and Katie toured 5 homes on their first tour and selected the last house - they already knew before visiting that they loved that house. I had a feeling with the nature-filled yard, park adjacent location and the beautiful green painted exterior that they’d fall in love.

A single level was ideal compared to their apartment before with many stairs. The inside had beautiful built-in bookshelves to showcase all their books. You would only find this charming character and detail in a 100 year old home like this. I am so elated when people find the home of their dreams, this home had it all. With perfect timing, sharp negotiating and a pleasant agent on the listing side, we were able to seal the deal. Clean inspections are a happy plus on a century-old home.

Since closed, they’ve had several parties with friends and family and being there truly warms my heart. It was such a pleasure to help Katie and Pao secure their dream home. Just waiting for the lucky future dog who gets to enjoy the home too!
