August Fun in the Tri-Valley: Events You Won’t Want to Miss

Hey friends! Can you believe it’s already August? Summer always seems to fly by, but there’s still plenty of time to enjoy everything happening here in the Tri-Valley. I was browsing through some upcoming events and just had to share what’s going on. If you're in the mood for live music, family-friendly activities, wine nights, or movies under the stars, August is packed with great options.

Here are a few local events, I’m especially excited about:

August 2 – Are You Ready For It? at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore

Taylor Swift fans, this one’s for you! This tribute show brings all the high-energy fun and sing-along moments you’d expect. It’s perfect for a night out with friends or a fun family evening.

August 7 – Summer Concert Series Finale at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin

The last show of Dublin’s summer concert series features the band Pop Rocks. It also lines up with the community’s back-to-school night, so you can expect good vibes, live music, and a lively crowd. Music runs from 6 to 8 PM.

August 9 & August 23 – Friday Night Live at McGrail Vineyards in Livermore

These evenings are always a treat. Picture wine tasting, delicious food trucks, and live music set against the backdrop of rolling vineyards. On August 9, HonkyTonk Heroes will bring the country vibes. On August 23, Run 4 Cover will take the stage with some fun high-energy tunes.

August 9 – Moonlight Movies in Downtown Danville

They’ll be showing Incredibles 2 in the heart of downtown. Bring a blanket, snacks, and the kids for a relaxing night under the stars. This is such a classic summer tradition and a great way to enjoy a family movie night outdoors.

August 9 – Life on the Farm at Dublin Heritage Park

Step back in time with hands-on activities like tractor rides, roping demonstrations, and antique laundry displays. It’s a fun and educational event that kids and adults alike will enjoy.

August 9 – The Great Dubois at the Bankhead Theater

This family-friendly variety show blends circus-style stunts, physical comedy, and lots of heart. If you’re looking for something unique and super entertaining, this is a great pick.

August 10 – Ice Cream Social at Ravenswood Historic Site in Livermore

Enjoy an old-fashioned afternoon with live music, guided tours, lace-making demos, and plenty of sweet treats. Ice cream, lemonade, and hot dogs will be available too. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday with the family.

August 23 – Comedy Uncorked at Retzlaff Vineyards in Livermore

For a fun night out, check out this 21+ event featuring stand-up comedy, estate-grown wines, and local food trucks. It’s a perfect blend of laughter and wine under the stars.
